In view of the government’s announcement regarding COVID-19, we have taken the decision to close the Great National Hotel Ballina until the 3rd of July. We apologise sincerely for any disappointment and inconvenience caused by the closure but have taken this measure to ensure we do everything we can to limit the spread of the virus to our valued team members, customers and suppliers.

At the GN Hotel Ballina, we have always taken our standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and we are proactively implementing additional hygiene procedures and precautions to ensure that the highest possible standards throughout every area for our guests and our team.
We ask that our guests follow the government healthcare guidelines regarding personal hygiene and Covid-19.
We have put in the following measures:
Sufficient supply of hand sanitisers for all our Guests in our main Lobby and different points throughout the Hotel.
Posters in public bathrooms to inform of good hand hygiene, respiratory hygiene.
Additional cleaning of public areas and frequently touched surfaces (door handles/reception desk/elevator buttons)
We will not be providing a daily service to our rooms but if you need towels or any additional toiletries please dial “0”. For long stay guests, a change of linen and serving of your room will be offered after 5 days.
Small rubbish bags will be provided for each room and any rubbish you wish to be removed please place in the bag and leave outside your room for pick up each morning before 10 am.
Bags for used linen will be available on request and replacement linen will also be provided during your stay upon request. Please leave dirty linen in the bag provided outside your door before 10 am.
We have implemented full procedures for sanitising guestrooms including all touchpoints e.g. remote controls, handles, light switches
We are committed to playing our part in trying to prevent Covid-19 from escalating
We ask that our customers do the same and follow the health authority and government guidelines regarding personal hygiene and Covid-19
Contactless cards are our preferred payment, but we do accept other forms.
We are all guided by the HSE and Government guidelines as they are made aware to us all. We ask that you adhere to the social distancing regulations of 2 metres from another guest at all times.
We will act swiftly to ensure that all new measures announced are implemented throughout the Hotel for all our guests and staff.
