From Monday the 8th of July to Sunday the 14th of July, kick start the summer holidays the right way with Ballina Street Festival. With events scheduled to take place including National Heritage Day, Teddy Bear Picnic, an old fashioned ‘Beat on the Street’ with 2FM and Saturday night Fireworks spectacular.
Paul Regan, Chairman of the Ballina Street Festival says:
“Ballina loves to put on a great show, we love welcoming people to our town and are so proud of the tourism offering Ballina and North Mayo has to offer. Ballina Street Festival has a seven day packed to capacity programme catering for all tastes and ages, from the young to the mature, offering classic Treasure Hunt, musical extravaganza, a big old Street Party and bumper Children’s Programme. We’re also proud to be hosting two events on our glorious River Moy; the River Moy Swim and Stand Up Paddleboarding and Sail on the River Moy. We would like to acknowledge the support and help from the Ballina Salmon Festival.”

The Ballina Street Festival is taking the place of the annual Ballina Salmon festival which has been postponed for 2019 but is set to return in 2020 and come back with the usual excitement that enthrals the beautiful town of Ballina.
Monday 8th July - ‘Take Me Home Colleen’
Ballina Arts Centre 7.30pm, a Folk & Ballad musical depicting a young couple's struggle living in North Mayo during the Famine Years, with original music by local singer-songwriter Brendan Farrell. Tickets Ballina Arts Centre (096) 73593, €15
Tuesday 9th July - Conal Gallen ‘Back to Front Show’

Thursday 11th July - ‘Spraoi in the Ree’
Abbey Street Ballina; be warned as plenty of craic and devilment ensues in the crazy world of Abbey Street over the bridge, featuring a 12-hour spinathon, obstacle course racing and sporting clubs duels and live music from 8 pm FREE
Friday 12th July - ‘Pearse Street Party’
Down Town Ballina, Fergal O’Murchu and Big Town Folk featuring guest dancers from local Irish dance schools, and Ballina’s own Gorilla Radio, the Party kicks off from 8 pm FREE
Saturday 13th July - 'Beat on the Street'
with 2FM’s Keith Walsh and guests at Ballina Market Square from 8 pm FREE
Sunday 14th July - 'Teddy Bears Picnic'
Tom Ruane Park, from 2 pm €2 per child. Get dressed up, get Ted dressed up and take him for a picnic in the park.
