We started planning our wedding approx. two years before our ideal date, had planned to look at lots of hotels before deciding on one, but when we walked into the reception area of Hotel Ballina we looked at each other and knew we need look no further! That was before talking to any staff! From that very first day we knew we had made the right choice, all our concerns and requests were taken care of and on 30th April 2011 everything went to plan and I really couldn't have asked for more. Thanks again to all the staff, front of house and behind the scenes.
We'll be back for a few parties!!
Sharon & Maurice.

We had a fantastic wedding in hotel ballina, valarie and her staff went to great lengths to make our day remembrable. their profesionalism, attention to detail ,and curtious they showed all our guests is still talked about, and the food was out of this " WORLD" thanks to the good chefs and kitchen staff she employs, everybodys lasting memory would be that all staff went out of their way for us ,no job was to big or small, and most of all they "Smiled" a real sign that they were happy in their jobs of making our day special,IF your thinking about getting married and you want the Franc Factor then look no futher than hotel Ballina.

What a fantastic Hotel !! the saff were led by there polite, efficient and enthusiastic Manager Valerie. when you enter the Hitel reception it is bright open and peaceful.
The bedrooms are very spacecious and the beds are a substantial size, the bathroom has all the facilities you would expect for this excellent standard of Hotel.
The bar, lounge and restarount and spcious and very well laid out, the bar and food service was excellent and the quality and quantity of food was brilliant.
The function room for the wedding reception was remarkable very spacious and a nice high ceiling. The room also incoporated a seperate bar.
They have within the hotel complex a spa and swimming pool with additional sporting facilities. The Hotel can also cater for golf trips, fishing trips and other adveturous holoidays. The local town Ballina is a 20 minute plesant work from the hotel and has lots of bars and shops where the local people make you welcome.
Tha Hotel Ballina gets a 5 star rating from me and my partner and was very resonably priced for the excellent standard of service, many thanks to you all especially Valerie.

“This hotel helped make the most memorable day of even better than expected”

I live in Manchester but held my wedding reception here as we got married in Ireland.
On arrival at this hotel you can't help but be impressed with the beautiful reception area, stylish, bright and airy with a beautiful feature staircase and chandelier that worked wonderfully in our photographs. This looks and feels like a high quality hotel.
On check in you are made to feel welcomed by the staff who are efficient helpful and friendly -what more can you ask for? We stayed for the whole weekend as did around 20 of my guests and all commented on how helpful and friendly the staff were.
Part of our package deal involved a meal in McShanes (the bistro) the night before the wedding. To say our expectations were exceeded is an under statement. The quality and quantity of the food was excellent. It was so good most of my party dinned in there again the day after the wedding (the rest were too hung over!!)
The rooms are modern, comfortable and very well kitted out. and spacious. The honey moon suite is beautiful, quite simply one of the best hotel rooms I have ever stayed in.
The wedding reception was truly second to none, what really made it was the attention to detail, the room & table decoration, food, service and general fell of the day were excellent. I can honestly say the staff worked above and beyond the call of duty. I particularly wanted a barbecue in the evening as I hate stuffy and stall buffets. Not only did they do this for me at a very reasonable rate the quality and variety of food on offer was far better than I expected for the price charged. One major plus point was of the room we were in is that it was fully self contained, it had its own bar, WC and adjacent covered smoking area. This works really well as you guests are always around the room rather than been scattered around the hotel.
I would highly recommend this hotel and would like to thank all the staff who looked after us over the course of the weekend, my heartfelt and warmest thanks, in particular Valerie Horan who seemed to be around whenever we needed her and looked after our every need. Thank you all so much,
I will be staying in this hotel again and if you are looking in this area for a great place to stay you will not be disappointed.
